Sovereign Resort Hotel, Cooktown

I had a somewhat surreal experience during my stay. While the hotel was centrally located and offered a nice pool area, I barely encountered any staff apart from check-in and check-out. The room was nice enough, but the balcony view was obstructed. Overall, it was decent value for money, but I wish the service had been more attentive and the bathroom extractor fan functional.

I had an amazing stay at this resort! The spacious rooms with air conditioning were a blessing, especially in the heat. The pool area was absolutely stunning, providing a perfect escape. Although the Wi-Fi was down due to a storm, the staff responded quickly, getting it fixed. Overall, excellent dining experiences and attentive service made it a memorable trip, but adding some seating in the rooms would have made them even better.
